Elect Roshan Kindred
Candidate
Member, 2027 National Nominating Committee
Leadership rooted in T.E.A.M.
Connecting to inspire, empower and elevate others
Leadership rooted in T.E.A.M. sets a clear and consistent standard for how we lead and serve. When we embody that standard and unite in the spirit of T.E.A.M., we strengthen our sisterhood, elevate the Farwest Region, and honor the enduring legacy of our beloved Founders.
My vision is to strengthen how we identify, prepare, and elevate leaders across our Sisterhood—ensuring that those called to serve are not only qualified, but fully equipped to lead with excellence. Grounded in T.E.A.M. Kindred—Trust, Excellence, Accountability, and Mentorship— I offer a two-pronged strategy that delivers both immediate impact and long-term sustainability.
I. Intentional Identification & Candidate Readiness
Trust | Excellence | Accountability
We must be deliberate in how we identify and prepare leaders for national service.
-
Define Leadership Readiness
Establish clear, consistent leadership readiness criteria in alignment with the Chair of the National Nominating Committee. -
Identify Talent Early
Engage Chapter Presidents, State/Country Coordinators and Facilitators, and the Regional Leadership Team to intentionally identify Sorors with emerging leadership potential early in their Delta journey. Encourage Sorors to learn and apply for national and regional development programs. -
Prepare with Purpose
A centralized, easily accessible platform that equips candidates with best practices, messaging and branding toolkits, and candidate real-time updates—fully aligned with nomination committee and Delta Technology Guidelines. Designed to demystify the campaign process, it enables candidates to run effective, compliant campaigns with confidence, fostering clarity, innovation, and purposeful leadership.
II. Purposeful Succession Planning Across All Levels
Mentorship | Excellence | Accountability
Sustainable leadership begins with intentional development at every level of our Sisterhood. From collegiate to alumnae Sorors, we will create mechanisms that engage both those actively leading and those preparing to answer the call.
-
Strengthen the Pipeline
Build and reinforce chapter and regional leadership pipelines as the foundation for national service. -
Start Early, Develop Continuously
Normalize early identification and ongoing development, beginning at the collegiate level and extending through alumnae leadership. -
Create Space to Lead
Design intentional opportunities for Sorors to lead, innovate, and demonstrate their gifts through mentorship and meaningful engagement.
The Outcome
A nomination process that is:
-
Fair and discerning
-
Transparent and structured
-
Rooted in preparation, not just potential
And a Sisterhood where:
-
Leadership is intentional
-
Development is continuous
-
And every Soror has a clear pathway to serve
